Our History

In June 2009, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Institute of International Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador (U.C.E.), the "First Intercontinental Convention on Human Rights at the Central University of Ecuador (U.C.E.)" was held in Quito, Ecuador, with the purpose of addressing different thematic areas, but mainly the issue of justice.

It is by virtue of the conclusions of this prestigious event and an illusion of struggle for Human Rights that it was decided to constitute the Jatun Ñawi Foundation among students and teachers from various attending universities, of which until now there are consolidated representatives of the delegations of Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.

And under the slogan of "We must always try to ensure that all that love for just causes materializes in facts and actions that lead to a mobilization."

It was decided to create in Bolivia the first work team that would later form the Jatun ñawi foundation and it was in July 2010 that this idea was consolidated with the obtaining of legal status in the Department of Cochabamba - Bolivia.
